SO MUCH TO DO. Downtown Waxahachie provides the backdrop for hundreds of festivals and events, large and small, throughout the year.
There are large events like the Bob Phillips Texas Country Reporter Festival and Waxahachie's Cinco De Mayo Festival. Events for history buffs like the Gingerbread Trail Tour Of Homes, Annual Chautauqua Assembly, WWII Veterans' Day Re-enactment, and the Christmas Candlelight Tour Of Homes.
THERE ARE PARADES at Mardi Gras, the Fourth of July ( the BEST small town parade around ) and a Christmas Parade - complete with the arrival of Santa Claus on a fire truck. Add the slightly quirky events like the Lions Club Mini Grand Prix race and you know why it's fun to be in Waxahachie ( plus, we're the 'Crape Myrtle Capital of the World' ).

COMMUNITY USE OF THE THEATER : Many days and nights are available to community groups for fundraisers. Friends of the Theater use at no charge.
USE OF STAGE FOR LOCAL EVENTS : The WAXAHACHIE TEXAS THEATER serves the community as a RAIN-OUT contingency for any outdoor stages. WAXHACHIE MUSIC THEATER's MUSICAL REVUE kicks off the Gingerbread Tour and 'HISTORY MONTH' in Waxahachie.
HOW WAXAHACHIE TEXAS THEATER SUPPORTS OUR COMMUNITY : We're working with Odd Fellows, the Chamber of Commerce, CVB and others to keep the community in the theater.
The Christmas Show at The WAXAHACHIE TEXAS THEATER supports Bethlehem and Ice Rink. We're the home for Chamber use for Talent Auditions.
