Downtown Waxahachie Merchants
The Waxahachie Downtown Merchants Association was formed by a small group of merchants in the mid 1990's as a means for member businesses to work together to make the downtown area a viable and integral part of the city.
Today, in 2009, the association boasts a membership of over 50 individuals and businesses working together to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere for our visitors. Membership is open to all businesses and individuals that are interested in promoting the downtown area.

Historic Downtown Waxahachie
The Heritage Preservation Commission, formed in 2000, is a body that oversees the City's Heritage Preservation Ordinance. This ordinance describes a number of tax incentives that are available to owners of historic properties.
These incentives are available for both residential and non-residential properties. Proper investment in one's historic structure of $1,250 or more will reduce City property taxes up to 50%.
